James Curtis is the Associate Director of Pharmacy at Penn Medicine. In this role, James provides leadership and clinical expertise throughout the health system. He also serves as the chair of the hospital’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee. James has been a consultant for The Healthcare Improvement Foundation, visiting over 25 organizations in the Philadelphia area, critically assessing their antimicrobial stewardship programs, and making recommendations for enhancement. He has over 10 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement.
James holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Drexel University. He also is dual board certified, both in pharmacotherapy and in critical care. James completed residency training at Christiana Hospital in Delaware.
